| liam01-12-202105:20 PM | * Fixed issue with how notepad connections were displayed. * Connection between items are now displayed in a more interesting way. * Introduced "layers" system to hide specific elements for more control of the user's experience. * Introduced a rough "prompts" system, from the configuration menu you can get prompts to help provide ideas about what to do. These have been written by me, and are just simple "paper rules", as more written content is created about the items it would be nice to allow the program to generate new prompts. * Added prototype text system. Public comments and private notepad entries are jumbled and combined to create random text messages that appear within the world near the relevant items. These are different for each user on each login, this may change. Currently as there's not much text content to pull from it's a lot more interesting to have it change on the fly (IMO). * Items are now "stained" for a moment after being viewed by a user, this colour (should) mix if different archivists visit the same item at the same time. * Added SFXs to button presses and stuff, hopefully providing users with more feedback that they've successfully completed an action. * Added background music, it's a pre-rendered clip driven by archive analytics at the time. Would consider replacing with procedural music in the future, but will likely be resource intensive. * Added ability to mute music and SFX. * Found and fixed some issues that were found during playtesting. |
